YOU'RE INVITED TO WATCH THE MSC ORCHESTRA CHRISTENING LIVE!

 
MSC Cruises invites you to be a part of the welcoming celebration of the MSC Orchestra to its family of ships by logging onto www.msccruises.com at 1 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) Monday, May 14.  The christening of its new flagship will be broadcast LIVE on the line?s website via streaming video from Civitavecchia, Italy.
 
Sophia Loren, beloved Italian icon, will be on hand to officially christen MSC's newest ship.  This is Ms. Loren's fourth godchild in the MSC Cruises fleet.  Maestro Ennio Morricone will also put on a special concert.
 
MSC Orchestra, like sister-ship MSC Musica, is 92,400 tons, 964 feet long, with 5 restaurants (including a specialty Chinese restaurant and Italian upscale restaurant), 11 bars, a casino, a 12,400-square-foot-spacious spa and fitness area, 1,240-seat theater and
capable of carrying 2,550 guests.
 
MSC Orchestra begins sailing 7-night Mediterranean itineraries round trip from Venice on June 2.

Ahh yes the christening of the MSC ORCHESTRA, this is the same MSC ORCHESTRA that I or Chris were to attend and watch as that nice bottle champagne hit her hull.

Well I would to like to report live from my computer desk that the best MSC Cruises could do was send Chris and I an invite to watch it live today. Here I sit and nothing, nada, zilch it ain't happening. Was suppose to have started about 25 minutes ago.

Well the excuse this time as to why we didn't go was no print media was invited period. Hmm don't know about you but both Cruise Travel and Porthole magazines are the one's that most cruise people read. Don't know of many TV shows that provide cruise related material.

I am really beginning to think that MSC cruises is only coming into the US market with a half hearted approach.

Phil....who is still waiting to watch this bottle hit the ship
