MS Henna
« on: January 18, 2013, 03:21:22 AM »
If I said the name MS Henna and HNA Tourism Cruises Yacht Management.

You may like me, look a little blank  ???.

But if I was to say Pacific Sun and P & O Australia bells ring :bounce:.

Well I was looking at movements in and around Singapore and spotted this name Henna and she was due to make a short cruise from Singapore to Port Klang.
It turned out that Henna was ex Pacific Sun and had been undergoing a refit in Singapore; this short cruise was a shakedown cruise which was cancelled due I guess to “work in progress” still ongoing.

She has sailed to the Singapore cruise centre today and will sail on the 20th January 2013 for Sanya her new base port.

Her maiden voyage from Sanya is scheduled for 26th January 2013.

The cruise route is focused on short distance tours, with Sanya and Tianjin serving as its home ports, and Vietnam and South Korea as destinations.

We could see her expand her routes later but this is China taking the first step into the lucrative cruise market.
Star Cruise has been signed on to operate and manage MS Henna.

New name to watch for Frank!!

Yes Peter I know of the change, but lost track of.  Here's a pic I saved of her 1-3-13.  I don't think we'll see much of her...

Frank I agree.

But maybe in another years time she will venture out to Japan,Thailand and Singapore.
China have built some fantastic cruise terminals and are hungry to tap into the revenue that can be generated from cruise ships docking at Chinese ports.
Star Cruises will be a great advertising agent for them and help them build a customer base from initially China, but ultimately outside China.

Would be really nice to capture her in her new life as MS Hanna.
