I'll bet there were a lot of squirming tummies.   Glad to here of only one minor injury...

09/12/2010 22:02 hs. To the 21:20 of today the Antarctic cruise " Clelia II" it arrived at the port of Ushuaia. This cruise, of 160 passengers, returned from the Antarctic to our city being without propulsion in one of its motors when it crossed the Passage of Drake. Then winds of 50 knots (100 kilometers per hour) and waves of 8 meters of height, extremely made the passage in this place difficult. Due to the intense movement of the sea, some glasses in the operating bridge of the boat were ompieron and communications equipment got wet that stopped working. " Clelia II" " was escorted by another Antarctic cruise; NG Explorer" , first in arriving until the zone, that as well communicated the new features to the Center of Antarctic Rescue. With the arrival to our port, today, it concludes the odyssey of this Antarctic cruise during the crossing of the Drake. In the image we can observe the Antarctic cruise " Clelia II" arriving at our port, in first plane " Him Boreal" part towards the Antarctic.

What a difference between the Antarctic passengers and the ones on the Brilliance of the Seas.
Apparently there was almost a revolt on the BotS when they first announced the compensation (it was pretty small from what I understand).
Good for RCL though that they listened to the passengers and offered a full refund. That might be a little excessive (heck - they had rough seas and missed one port - big whoop) but at least all the passengers will be happy.

As for the Antarctic folks - they seemed to take it all in stride and were looking forward to going back again.
And they paid somewhere around $10 K for their trip.
