MSC to build yet another Fantasia class 133,000 ton vessel scheduled for delivery in 2012

April 12 -2010

Just last month, MSC Cruises welcomed our newest 93,000 ton ship, MSC Magnifica , to our fleet and signed a letter of intent to build yet another Fantasia class 133,000 ton vessel scheduled for delivery in 2012. These new additions to our fleet are a testament to your dedication and support. Our unprecedented growth from a small boutique line to the fastest growing cruise line in the world with the most modern fleet of 11 ships and over 7 billion euro invested in new builds is a complete reflection of your efforts.

As a privately owned, family operated cruise line our vision for growth is driven by our commitment to continuously expand and innovate with new ships, destinations, and sourcing markets. As an established leader in Europe we have set our sights on North America as a valuable and key strategic market for our continued growth. Over the years we have built up our infrastructure in the market to accommodate this growth. And, this coming fall marks our inaugural Canada/New England season with MSC Poesia sailing from our new sourcing markets New York City and Quebec City before heading to Fort Lauderdale for a season of Caribbean sailings. Our fleet expansion means that it will not be long before a Fantasia class ship will be sailing from North America.

We thank you for all of your support and look forward to continuing to grow with you. On behalf of everyone from our 42 office worldwide and from our family to yours we wish you all the best in life.
