JUST GOT A ANSWER BACK.............."Sorry, we had a major system failure yesterday and the technicians are still working on the problem."

SO NO PICTURES OF THE MILLRNIUM TODAY, LETS HOPE THEY ARE UP THURSDAY WHEN THE INFINITY TRANSITS............C.C.13

LOOKS LIKE WE WILL MISS Q.E. AGAIN...........JUST GOT THIS C.C.13............Dear friend, it seems the problem is a communications problem between the webcam and our internet server. The communications personnel are looking into the problem.

Some cams are working and others not especially the Gatun ones.

Let's hope they are fixed soon as the transit of cruises will be more frequent in the next few weeks.

There is a communication problem between cameras and their servers...........C.C.13
Have no idea when they will be back on.....All back on around 11:20 p.m.

With the Miraflores cam broke, someone turned on one that we never get to see, only for about a minute.....C.C.13

The Miraflores cam had been off for awhile, & still is.........I was told the other day the reason....((There is a problem with the connection from the webcam on the communications tower to the equipment that provides the image to the web site.)) Well anyway I always have the cams up, on my desk top & I looked up & saw this one come on & just after I clicked saved it went off....Here is a picture I found, I circled the cam.....I had a better one, but can't fine it for now...........There are a lot more cams all over the canal that we don't see........

THEY CAN MOVE THE HI-RES CAMS...THIS IS THE GATUN CAM, IT WAS ONLY THERE FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES.....C.C.13...

I GOT THIS FROM THE CANAL..........C.C.13

I’ve been informed that the intermittency of the Gatun Hi-resolution webcam can’t be resolved off the bat. It will continue to go on and off intermittently. They have proceeded to purchase a new webcam to replace this one. Once it arrives, they will install it as weather permits (its on a communications tower and for safety reasons they can only climb the tower in clear weather).
