QE2 has had a face-lift in a Dubai drydock in July and has now returned to her berth BUT may be on the move very shortly to Cape Town, to arrive in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  She is now registered to Vanuatu with the name Port Vila replacing Southampton as her port of registration.

Thanks for the update Rose.  Wonder if she will take any passengers down to Cape Town?

Doubt it - she'd need a full set of staff.  I'll check again for news next month.  It would be nice to catch a glimpse of her en route ...

Read this recently.  http://www.arabianbusiness.com/property/article/568040-nakheel-in-talks-over-qe2s-cape-town-future

I guess there is still some question as to whether or not she will actually go to Cape Town.  ???
