Has anyone see Battie lately! He and his mates seem to have disappeared since they put the new cam in.

I have noticed on the old M/F cam that there is a new structure on the right of the image. This I think is the new tower to support the H/R cam.

Could this be the reason why Battie and his mates have not been seen lately. They might be frightened of the new structure. Let's hope they soon get used to it an make a swift return.

This is one I took of Battie last year.

Did not know he/she was so famous.

Sent the photo to a bird expert who told me it was a Bat Falcon.

Should have asked you for the low down.
Nice bird though and loves watching the ships as I do.

Cheers,

Nice clear capture, thanks :)  The most we ever saw were 3 at once.  Someone posted Battie on YouTube.  I'll try to find the link and post it.

Yes this is a good web snap Phyllis.
Looks like Battie is in container city.
I had been waiting for hours and hours to see/web cam snap a container ship pass through, one I was missing to complete a collection of a shipping lines fleet.
The folks at Panama switched the camera to Battie as my ship arrived.
The container ship in the background is the one I wanted to snap, boy was I mad at the time .
Still I got a few nice shots of Battie...but have never seen that ship again ...such is life.
Thanks Battie.
cheers,
