Panama Canal Schedule 2016 - 2017 Update

Hi all,

It is that time of year when we start watching the ships transit the Panama Canal.

I have posted the 2016 2017 schedule. There are about 181 transits scheduled this year.

There are some highlights this year with 4 full transits and 1 Gatun Locks/Lake only on Christmas Day.

There are no transits for the new locks this season. Princess has scheduled their first large ship for fall of 2017 and it will be a Gatun Lake/Locks only transit.

We also have Carnival pride doing 2 Gatun Lake/Locks transits this year. I think this may be a first for Carnival.

This November marks 20 years that Seacruise has been around. We have done a lot of firsts like hosting the first Cruise Reviews site on the internet complete with photos. Seacruise was part of what was likely one of the biggest Internet Group cruises to be held with over 550 attending on Norwegian Sky in January 2000.
We started posting the Panama Canal Schedule some 15 years ago. We are still the only webpage that posts this information solely for this purpose.

With all this said it may be the last year of Seacruise and the schedule. With only a handful of people posting and not many messages the time may have come.

Who knows but all I can say is Thank you to those that have been part of this.
