AMBASSADORS CRUISE GROUP NAMES NOEL DECHAMBEAU DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MARKETING FOR MAJESTIC AMERICA LINE AND WINDSTAR CRUISES

Seattle, March 3, 2008 – Ambassadors Cruise Group has appointed Noel DeChambeau, Director of Product Marketing for Majestic America Line and Windstar Cruises.  In his new role, Mr. DeChambeau will be responsible for product planning, itinerary development, pricing and product enhancements for Majestic America Line’s fleet of six river and coastal cruise ships and for Windstar Cruises’ fleet of three luxury sailing vessels. He reports to Diane Moore, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Noel back to the Windstar family and are excited to have him contribute to Majestic America Line,” said Moore. “His marketing and product background along with his deep cruise industry experience will be key in growing both brands.”

Mr. DeChambeau joins the company with over 27 years of experience in the cruise and tour industry. Most recently at Holland America, he served six years as the company’s Director of Alaska Marketing, where he was responsible for the promotion of Alaska Cruises and CruiseTours including product development, collateral materials production, sales training, and communication to the trade and consumer market. 

Previously, Mr. DeChambeau was Director of Incentive Sales for Windstar Cruises where he was responsible for charter and incentive business. Prior to that position, he was the Product Manager for Alaska and Canadian Rockies CruiseTours at Holland America Line for eight years. Early in his career, Mr. DeChambeau helped form Royal Hyway Tours, which later became the transportation division of Princess Tours, and served as Director of Safety and Training as well as Division Operations Director.

Mr. DeChambeau has a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and a master’s degree from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. He presently serves on the Alaska Tourism Industry Association Marketing Committee and the Yukon Tourism Marketing Advisory Council.
