Cameras are out due to problems with the dedicated Internet connection which handles all the webcam images. They hope to have them back online late tonite.  C.C.13

I was just told that the cams should be on soon. I hope so, after weeks of no cruise ships it would be nice to see the Island Princess transit tomorrow.

The Gatun Locks cams has been down since 10:50 a.m. I just got a email back." And today is a national holiday due to the passing of an ex-President.  No one’s there to resolve, it will have to wait until tomorrow, so sorry… "  Linda C.C.13

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the Canal cams? I just emailed the canal and was told that, ("I am verifying with our technicians, because everything is good locally.") C.C.13

I just heard back that they are having problems with their Internet service provider. C.C.13  :doh:

Cape Cod 13 just got this from PanCanal.org but is not able to post right now.

"Linda, I cannot say when, but as I’ve been told by our Internet service providers, the webcams should be back online sometime today (but exactly when, don’t know). Sorry!"

Just got this, (I just asked our technicians and even though at this time, nothing yet, I will let you before I leave – for the entire weekend, I hope.)
If they are not on today before everyone goes home, it is going to be a long weekend without the canal cams. If I hear anything else I will let you know.
The problem is when they have trouble with their service, they have to turn off the cams so all of the computers can run.   Linda C.C.13 :doh: ??? :'(

Just got this. Lets hope they find it sooner and they come on today.       (Latest update from our Internet service provider… They are checking connections, basically wiring from their offices to ours.  They probably will not finish today, so they’re saying late Wednesday.
